About Kapit Productions
“Kapit Productions” is derived from the word “kapit” which means “to hold” started in 2012. For over a decade of producing quality events that bind people’s hearts, it has become something to look forward to. It is not only a one-day event but rather creates a core memory for its attendees. The producers and staff have poured all their love and passion for music into producing such an intimate event for its people. It has become a gateway for everyone who shares the same interest in art and music. It provides a stage for every aspiring artist in Quezon to cater to their talents as they face the crowd.
“Kapit Productions” has produced numerous events since it was founded, but the most significant event that has become the root of it was a fundraising event that benefitted a friend who is in need, it has been a part of their vision from that day since, and from then on “Kapit Productions” was created. From its humble beginning, they have produced a remarkable milestone over the years. One of its popular events was the “Likhawit Festival” which has set a record in the music industry in the province, as one of its successful events, it has set a particular standard for the event scene. For three consecutive years, there has been an annual event held. On May 19, 2017, the first Likhawit Festival was held in Alcala Sports Complex, featuring local artists from Quezon with Quest as its main act with over 2000+ attendees. On October 26, 2018, the Likhawit Festival was held at Quezon Convention Center featuring a set of local artists, having IV of Spades and Ben and Ben for its main act with over 5000+ attendees. After its successful event in 2018 with 5,000 attendees, another Likhawit Festival was held on October 27, 2019, at Quezon Convention Center, with over 6500 attendees, consisting of various artists from the local scene, and known artists and bands like Al James, Mayonnaise, This Band, Muni-Muni, 3D (Dumas, Dancel, and Danao), IV of Spades and Rico Blanco performed at the said event.
It is not just the founders, staff, and producers that complete the entire production but its people and supporters throughout the years. It is their utmost support and heartfelt appreciation for Kapit Productions that has kept them going. Their main goal and vision is to keep the fire in their hearts burning, to keep the passion alive, for as long as there is art and music, they will continue to produce events that will bind the hearts of everyone. They wished to cater to more talents and aspiring individuals to come out of their shells and spread their wings toward their passion, Kapit Productions wants to be a stepping stone to every talented artist in Quezon, they wanted to use its platform to provide them a spotlight to let the people see what Quezonian’s got, for one day they will all be known not only in Quezon but throughout the country. Kapit Productions aims to keep its legacy up to the next generations of people who share the same love for music.
